Thread: Dragstrip this weekend. Going for the 9!

Well guys i picked up a pair of 25X8.7X13 m&h slicks and car is ready to go running 100%. I did some final adjustments this weekend dropping the fuel pressure down from 55psi to 48psi, got the a/f steady 11.5-11.8:1 at WOT 30psi of boost.

Gonna give it a shot at the 9's, and will only get probably 1 pass before getting booted but hey its all for the fun. Thats the reason i go. Represent and have some fun.

I plan to run the slicks at 8psi and do a nice 2nd gear burnout to heat them up, They are slightly used so they are already broken in.

Car is running absolutely awesome and i feel as long as i can hit the shifts quick and not break the trans that it should be a good night.

Well its gonna have to wait till next weekend but im still picking up the slicks on friday. I just have some stuff that came up. But either way should be good.

Rob, the car went 11.1@132 during the summer on 24psi before the intake manifold and Q45 TB and on bad slicks still spinning almost halfway down the track. Should be a much better go around this time out. Its definetly pulling a hell of a lot harder than it has ever pulled before now that everything is situated and with the 6psi more boost and manifold.

I figure if i can pull a 1.5X 60ft which is possible and hit all shifts quick without breaking i should be very darn close if not hit it. We will see.
