Biggest Drag Radial on a B13?
Just wondering what is the biggest drag radial you guys have seen on a B13. I am thinking about going with a 225 50 15. I a friend of mine back home is running this size. Just wondering if that is the biggest / widdest tire I can fit.

Pics would also be great.

we ran 215/60/14 bfg drag radials on 14" steelies, at high speeds (100+) the tires would expand a lil and rub the spring perch on the strut, caused the inside to wear out a lil fast, kind of like camber wear, so not a huge issue, but the insides wore out 1st

i would think with the right offset wheel a 225 would be very possible

heres a few pics of ours on 215's

One of my buddies that local has a Nitto DR's in 235/60/15 on his B13. The front end looks wild because its such a tall tire but he runs them. He has them mounted on his B14 wheels. I ran BFG DR 225/60/14 on my old classic without an issue. Had them mounted on NX wheels. The tire looked like a huge balloon but they hooked up like animals!

i know the good thing about the 215 60 14's was that they were wayyyyyyy cheaper than most sizes

I'll try and dig up some Alex. It hurts bringing back old memories cause that car took so much abuse and didn't even break a sweat. It was one boosted setup I can say I definately miss. I'll see what I can find. If I can get a pic of Carls car I'll try and post it. The thing looks like a monster hahah.

i thought about getting some 225 BFG's on some 15's to run but i drive the car to work every single day 60 miles round trip and they are expensive tires to just have on there to drive around. haha. I purchased some 205 falkens when i did the build and put 8k miles on them and havent even had to rotate them yet. haha

I have a lot of traction problems on the street and could really benifit from the drag radials but again, too expensive to just run them every day. Maybe one day though.
