Default What is your guestimate on what i will run.

Alright people, im kinda dissapointed in the attitudes that ive been getting lately on my goals for what i want to run, i dont know why its soo hard to comprehend, If a 260whp all motor gutted hatch can run 11's and trap over 120mph i dont see why i cant do it fairly easily. Im gonna point it straight out, the SR community has really been dull lately, noone really pushing for fast times, everyone with 350-400whp has been just hoping to run low 12's and most have been at that or higher from what ive seen, take into consideration most of these are full interior cars with A/C so i dont blame you.

Now i come and put my effort to try and make an impact in the SR community and I get pretty much flamed for it or doubted. Why? Plain and simple here is my setup, I want you guys to take a guess on what i will run when i go out in 3-4 weeks to do so. My previous best on slicks on an overboosted T25 was coasting to a 12.4 @98mph letting off 300ft before the finish due to the motor problem. Im out for bigger and better things. Now here is the setup.

Here is the deal, I want you guys to post a time in this fasion XX.XX with a mph in this fasion XXX.X and whoever gets the closest after i post my best timeslip i will paypal $30.00 to. Plain and simple, i want this to be a more positive outlook on this and an excitement to the SR community because frankly most people are not doing jack to even remotely give the Honda boys a challenge.

Setup at the track every detail:

1992 SE-R

No A/C at all in the bay or behind the dash, no power steering, no emmissions crap anywhere, no front bumper support, no rear bumper support, no exhaust at all, dumps after 10" pipe off turbo. No heat shields underneith the car, No passenger seat, no rear seat cusions, no radio.

Suspension:

Ground Control Coilovers on GR2 struts
ES front and rear swaybar bushings and endlink bushings,

Tires:
22X8X15 MT slicks @10psi

Mods:

Calum basic ecu for 520cc injectors @ 4 bar, Z32 maf
Running blowthu setup on the maf.
JDM 9.5:1 motor
JWT S4 cams
S15 T28 @20psi of boost on 100 octane race fuel
Aftermarket RWD Tubular manifold, good one not ssac
3" greddy turbo outlet pipe dumping open
2.5" intercooler piping into 28X9X3 fmic
Turbo XS RFL bov
Fidanza 8.8 lb flywheel
ACT Extreem PP with 6 puck sprung disk
B14 trans in very good condition
Prothane solid engine mounts with custom solid front dogbone

Thats about all i can think of. My best 60ft on my t25 with these slicks was a 1.72 only doing a small burnout, I will heat the tires up alot better this time out. Not to mention when i ran that previous best on the old setup it was about 90 deg out, This time out it will be around high 60's low 70's dry, im at sealevel also. My shifts are very fast meaning i dont hardly even let of the gas when shifting, i dont baby it being i live 3 hours away and i figure i only get to go soo often so i go all out, Trans has held up fine. Let me know what you guys think. i dont get what the big deal is. Here is my guestimate and im hoping for better. I would like to see an 11.1 @ 123mph. Again thats my guess and this thread has nothing to do with my guess, if you want to call me a fool for guessing this then keep it to yourself or i will have the mods delete your post, ive already had enough of that crap. Have fun and wish me luck.

I bet you will nail your goal. Your car is just insane from the videos I have seen. If you are making anywhere around 320whp on 20psi (you are) then you should do 11.1 no problem.

I am going a big conservative.

11.3@124mph

I voted 11.7-11.9

I say the MPH will be 115-117 let say if the car has 310-325 whp.

Ashton don't take what us guys say as doubting you. A lot of us have been around drag racing for a very long time and we have seen first hand what SE-R's can do. So thats why we say what we do.

Now like I said in another post. Prove us wrong. More power to you honestly. I always give props to those who achieve what they want. Its a forum with many people who have seen different things.

I still say dyno the car before you take it to the track and make sure everything is cool. Thats just me.

yeah i know ive been around drag racing for a long time also, hell i had one of the fastest all motor de powered se-r's back in the day, that was full interior, 14.2@97 Im sure most of you guys remember that one. i was right up there.

I know what you guys are saying, and i cant argue that. Im just saying that from what ive seen most people for one take forever to shift, two their cars dont have near the weight reduction mine does, take into account every 100 lbs is good for .2 off the 1/4 Ive seen this first hand. My car at track weight should be around 2140 or being conservative. Again power should be around the 320whp range at 20psi maybe even more. I know ive had motor problems before but it was all stupid stuff and stupid decisions on my part, i knew better than running the crappy 91 octane when overboosting that T25, the heat was just too much which caused the pre-ignition which in turned melted the piston pretty good.

No more mistakes like that, i will run on 100 octane straight and nothing less. Plus im switching the bkr6's for the 7's for added safety from detonation. But i think i should be alright. I mean you drag junkies should know how much weather plays a part in it also, you take that i ran that when it was 90 deg out, now i will be running when its high 60's low 70's, that alone is worth quite a bit, I can feel the difference just driving the car in that type of conditions. Anyways, i will have fun and i really think the car is low low 11's capable at over 120, i will tell you what once i get the injectors in and some race gas in there i will turn the boost up and make a vid and give you a little help so you can decide, haha
