Trac Road Race Academy
Hello all,

I have never announced this in the forum in the past, but I feel that the new offers for this year are pretty decent, and I wanted to share them with you. As some of you know, I do event logistics for road race courses and lapping/solosprint/autoslalom days. The name of this local club is the TLC, or Trac Lapping Club. Here are the offers we have for the spring road race classes (also known as Trac Academy):

Location: Calabogie Motorsports (This is a new location for us, and we are very excited to add it to our curriculum)
Date: April 25-27
Schedule: Theory will be given on the Friday evening, and we will be on the track on Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Price: 895$ + tax

Location: Autodrome St-Eustache
Dates: April 12-13 or April 19-20 (choice of 2 schools)
Schedule: Theory will be given on the Monday or Friday evening (Monday is recommended) on the week before the course. We will be on the track on Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Price: 595$ + tax

You need to arrive with your own vehicle, and it must be trackable and in good shape. This school is by no means new, and we can count over 1200 graduates in its 10 years of existence. Many local road race and solo champions have gone through one or many of these schools, either as students or as instructors.

I am knocking on wood as I am telling you this, but the school currently has a clean record, with no major incident since it began.

What you will learn: An extensive theory session, along with over 350 km of track over the weekend (read: lots of seat time). You will also have the necessary tools to apply for a regional road race license (ASN-FSAQ-CASC) or for a solosprint license.

Here is a non-extensive list of what will be covered in the course:
Driving position, handling the steering wheel
Heel and toe
Downshifting (the right way)
Weight transfer
Threshold braking and its subtleties
How to use your engine's full potential
The race line
Controling your car at the limit
Passing (under braking, under acceleration, while drafting, etc.)
The physics behind the race car
The mental aspect
How to decrypt your vehicle's language
Race start simulation
Flags
Security and officials

You will also be given a complete manual during the theory class, so you will be able to review it as you wish after the course. The instructor team is well experienced, and the student-to-instructor ratio is great (4-5 students for an instructor).

If you have any questions, you can ask them through here or via PM, and I will be glad to anser them. To reserve a spot, you can call 450-472-0676, ext. 301.

I hope to see a few SR20's out there this summer. I feel so alone

Will there be another school before winter this year? Seems the one last season at the end was a bit...late in the season lol
