calumsult freeware
hey calum. i just bought a blatz cable and "datascan" software. i have played around with the datascan and love it as well as "ecu talk" i have your software but can not seem to get it to connect. any tips?

got the same problem.. it recognizes the ECU but all other stuff won't work.

interesting, i see it and i will try it out tomorrow. any insight on the "debug" function?

debug is really only there to make sure the ecu is talking right. you are basicly sending break's to the ecu and see if it responds. you should plug it in and then say connect and it should give you the ecu part number. if you dont get that...then probably dont have calumsult pointing to the right com port that your adapter is using.

and honestly there are better programs. that program he wrote years and years ago as a quick and dirty thing to get a few things going. pay for nissandatascan, its a lot nicer of a program honestly. calum is a hardware guy not a software guy...despite the fact hes now a programer in his day job...

i did. its loaded and i have the validation all complete. im just intrested in playing with all the software i can find.

Well if you use datascan, don't use it on a Vista box. Don't ask me how I know

Calumsult is nice to get the consult streams into Innovate's Logworks and have Wideband AFR vs rpm, inj duty, MAF V, etc all in one program and for free, that is compared to NDS 1.52+ ($30).

...and it does automated datalogging too, which is fun. Innovate's LogWorks has a much better ability to automate the datalogging though. I really like LogWorks, although is not exactly user friendly.
