Thread: 2013 Nissan Convention Planning

As some of you know, the 2013 Nissan SR20 Convention has been leaked or announced, whichever way you want to put it. But anyways, after experiencing quite a few conventions myself, representing the state of California and in some cases the West Coast, I'd like to see more of our presence out there. To be honest, I doubt the conventions will ever make it back to this side of the Mississippi . The Fwd SR crowd is primarily East Coast.

It's Never too early to plan ahead. We have roughly a whole year to get things going.

Usually the itinerary is:

Thursday Night - Meet and Greet
Friday - Road Course
Saturday - Free Day to explore surroundings + drag night (tbd)
Sunday - Picnic & Car show & Awards

With that being said, who is interested in attending 2013's convention in Savannah, GA? Sure, it's a long haul. Mapped out Estimated Driving time and miles are 39hrs , 2,465 miles from Los Angeles to Savannah. Cross country trip.

I don't expect much interest in driving, but I know of a couple of guys that have some what committed to towing their srpowered vehicles.

Of course the other method would be flying. NOTHING is wrong with that. And I can tell you from my own personal experience , our sr20 family is quite friendly and in case you need to be picked up from airport, driven around, everyone is usually open minded and will give you a lift if no rental or means of transportation is available to you.

Dates and Road Course have yet to be determined. I'll update here aswell with any info regarding the 2013 Convention. Any questions, feel free to pm me.

I would drive out to the airport to pick up anyone. It would be my pleasure and for 2013, the hotel and airport are so close to each other, it is a no brainer.

FWIW, our planned hotel has an airport shuttle as well

I'd be more than happy to take folks who fly in / don't have their car for rides at the trackday.

This is tempting... Do I take lucy for a nice road trip and throw on an extra 5000 miles on the car? and have a buddy drive Barney there? Or should I just drive Barney... I would really like to attend a convention in one of my cars. If there is someone who would tow one of my cars, I would be more than happy to pay you some $$$ for towing
