Rally Sentra guys, info swap requested
For all you guys who actually rally your cars, what spring rates/suspensions are you running? I think my car is not where it is supposed to be and I'm curious to hear about yours.

I have HotBits gravel suspension on the car now. I just have the basic rally set-up, not adjustable or with remote reservoirs. Spring rates are basically 290F/ 199R. I think that is pretty close as they are in kg/mm. The car is very stiff and has a real problem putting power down.

The best the car has felt on similar surfaces was with 250F/200R.

I am curious to hear what other people are running and what success they are having.
Thanks-

I was planning on 250/200. But I have no real exeprience, just compiling everything I see here and everything I hear people saying at events.

I know Rob B is pretty fast and I think he told me he's running 250/200 on Hotbits.

Well, Ron handed me my behind in his Civic this weekend. With the slight difference in hp and my weight and traction advantage, I thought it would be the other way around.... SADLY mistaken!! I know it's been a little while since I drove that car, but it was really embarassing!
I'll grab my 250's from the garage and try to make them fit.
Are you coming to Birmingham this weekend for the school and test n' tune?

Ron is a demon!!

I can't come this weekend.. Best I can do this year is maybe make it to one or two Huntsville events. (I will be at all the Manchester events though)

I'm looking at aiming for a tow vehicle sometime in 2011. Hopefully a Ridgeline

225-250 in the fronts and 150-175 is what is typically run in cars in similar weight like Golfs.

At the last event, I disconnected the front sway bar. The car was way better, but the course was much smoother and much more technical.
This set up seemed much better, so I will try it some more and see how we get on. I'll order some 250's for the front so I can change them out on event if I need to.

Hey guys , I know I will get burn like crazy if I go to other section other then rally/cross.
I'm actually building my new rally car , I had 2- B13 one got wreck in Rally TN 2007 other got wreck Rally NY last April , so know after much looking around I decide to get back with and Nissan , B-13 shell in good condition are getting very hard to find so I decided event so is not independent rear suspension like the B-13 to go with a B-14 , I got the car already just started working in the options for engine and decide to use a DET not a DE+T like I had , so what I need is I'm very bad with searching and believe I try I just can seen to find much , much of the problem is my english as a second language what really kills me, what I need to know is what I need to do a swap from a 99 SE-L sr20de to a SR20DET BB or Red top or witch is the one that goes better in a sentra shell .
Thank you
Gus

Hey Gus,
Since I am relatively new to Nissans as well I am not 100 percent sure but I think what you should be looking for is the "Bluebird" motor. Let me know how much you are looking to get for the Sr20DE as I might have a friend that might be interested who also will be building a B14 rally car.

The Avenir motor will be newer than the bluebird. W10 or W11.

These guys have DET in 99 SE-l. The threads are huge but have info in between the bs-ing.

I'd run my boosted SE-R in rallycross but my suspension is super stiff and the downpipe is really low. What do you plan on doing about the downpipe? I'd love the 250/200 hotbits setup.
