NASA is holding an AutoX out at Virginia Motorsports Park. Is anyone in here attending? I'll be popping my autoX cherry, sadly not in the SE-R.

Nice. I'll be in my Z. Any tips for a newb? I know that I have to take everything/anything that isn't bolted down out of the car... how many runs do you think we'll get in?

Yes. Remove all that isnt bolted down. Floor mats, that bottle of gatoraide. Anything

As far as newb advice, keep your eyes up by looking where you want to go not just a few feet in front of you. Pre-walk the course, ask questions and drive slow to go fast.

We should get 8 runs. In the last year ive seen as few as 6 and as many as 10.

Not a problem, I try not to keep a lot in there anyway.

Let me know what time you are planning to leave and we could meet up, I have to pass through chesterfield to get to vmp. Totally up to you if you want.

I'm right off 95 outside of Colonial Heights...its about 15min away from VMP. Let me know when is good for you and I'll find a place right off the highway, if that works.

Dont worry about pre-registering unless you already have, there is always slots left open for day-of arrivals.

The schedule is : Gates open at 8, Reg & tech open @ 10am, which means you want to be there at least 30min prior to that. Course walk @ 11am Drivers meeting @ 11:30am ,Heat 1 starts @ noon, ect. Cars off course by 5:30pm Gates close @ 6pm

If you live that close to VMP I guess we could meet at the that gas station right up the street from the track. I usually grab a bannana or something before I roll in the gate.
