I know that Calum tuned an NX up in CT to the tune of 156WHP with very few mods. He mapped the HELL out of that fuel delivery. I'm sure there is power left on the table for you man.

Impressive.... i once used a safc, on a peugot 206 with a 1.4 8v engine, and the results where noticeable, of course my only guide to tune it was a wideband and how quick i could run a certain distance (200 mts) but it did indeed improve... guess with what PHORB13 said, bout 156whp on an NX.... so guess you're still missing some 6whp round there! good luck!! oh.. and please share your safc tuning, avg temp, and level over sea... it could be of some help!

he's not using a SAFC, he's using a VEMS. he made a thread about it I think.

anyways, looks real good Ben. I wonder what gain we would see if Rob tuned his HCR build more!!

What's wrong with the factory tuning? Too lean or too rich up top?
What about the timing, did you add a lot of timing?

What stand alone system are you using? Are you willing to post maps? I've got an extra megasquirt box lying around and I wouldn't mind hooking it up for these gains...

History says factory maps are too rich and can stand a LOT more timing.

I'm willing to share all the info, I just need some time. If you want to know about the VEMS install, it's linked in my project thread in my signature (you'll find it somewhere).

I have maps up on this forum already, but they are actually pretty bad I've come to find out (a good amount of detonation even), so look for my new tune to be posted sometime soonish.

You and me both Keo. Real life just keeps getting in the way (graduated from college along with my GF. New job, looking for an apartment, etc.). My friend and I are already making waves in the e30 scene with our tuning (currently highest WHP non-swapped e30 in the US) and we seem to be proving people's theories about factory limitations (cams, block strength) completely wrong. His other car (S13 with SR20DET) just showed on the dyno that the stock cams aren't a limitation at 350 WHP as previously thought, instead they are good for about 420 WHP before they even begin to choke the motor.

I'm not saying I'll be making any massive amount of power, but people might be surprised at how low boost I'll have to run on the T28 turbo before meeting my goal of 275 WHP.

We'll see.
