Thread: potential pulley related issue?

I have gspec underdrive pullies onmy car. They are awesome and fit perfect. ever since I lowered my idle though my car seems to start running hot when I am sitting at idle. fan works fine. When I rev it up and go it cools back off. Is there anyway that the wp could be turning to slow.

The bigger WP pulley does slow down you pump. It should kot be enough to not cool properly. You might want to chech the cooling system to make sure everything is working correctly.

I don't think this is pulley related. Check your coolant level first.

Coolant level was fine. belts are good. w/p spins freely. fan works. New 300zx rad cap. Ill swap out the thermostat for a new nismo one tomorrow.

My B14 with Gspec pulleys and a Nismo thermostat ran cool, never issues of overheating. Whens the last time the radiator was flushed?
