Decide what you want from the motor and start doing some research on what each motor will provide. Stock for stock they are both very reliable.

There is more than enough info on the forum to answer your questions.

+1 ^^

I had a 92 se-r last year with the JDM SR20DE swap, loved it! Header, full 2.5 exhaust, and WAI. I loved the DE but now that I am looking for another B13 I am definitely going VE. From what I've read most people swap VE or go turbo. Since you're moving from turbo to N/A I think you would enjoy a VE motor vs. the DE.

I know I can't wait to get a VE'd B13

Ve hands down. I currently own both a low boost de and a bone stock ve. The have completley different characteristics but i enjoy driving the ve the most.

VE if you can afford it and can deal with the little issues of the swap with the wiring harnesses etc.
