cheap underdrive pulley
has anyone noticed the huge difference in sizes between a de water pump pulley and a ve?? ve is much bigger. i had to notch my front cover to make it fit. i was wondering if anyone has any experience with something like this. itd be a cool upgrade if it works fine because ve w/p pullies are only like 20 bucks.

thanks guys,
pat

Yeah, you can use it on DE. Ive used DE pulley on VE, as VE one was dented. No problem, straight swap.

To use the VE pulley on a DE you need to grind down part of the oil pump/front cover. Its not much but the pulley will hit if you do not. I would not use a DE pulley on a VE, its larger for a reason.

I thought you needed a little spacer to get the VE w/p pulley on the DE. Unless that just with the Gspec underdrive

If you add a spacer it will cause a misalignment of the belt. You only need to grind down the little hump on the WP to make it fit.
