Thread: SR20 Top Speed - Naturally Aspirated? Please post!

Can you guys please post your top speed on your NATURALLY ASPIRATED SR20de AND SR16/20VE?

Please post include set-up, major mods as well.

156MPH, was still pulling slowly but I ran out of room.

205/40/17 tires. 23.5 inch Dia. The speedo guage was very much dead on.

Speed calculated via GPS.

Iv gotten 130ish. Then aerodynamics don't let me move.

i did 146mph in my first se-r with full boltons and jwt s3 cams. My ve would have done way faster being it was alot faster than my first b13, Im sure it would have topped out the gears had i tried to, probably would have taken a bit but im sure it would have.

Now my turbo setup i hit my rev limiter 7800 in 5th gear on 205/50/15's which i believe is a slightly taller tire than stock. Estimated speed 162mph. And it hit it fast, very fast soo fast i didnt even know i was coming up on the rev limiter that quickly, haha caught me by surprise. lol

91-93 SERs do 125 MPH stock

94 SERs do 130 MPH stock


Most SERs with intake, header, exhuast will do 135-140 MPH


200SX SERs have the aerodynamic advatage.

yeah with the ve you should have no problem hitting 150+ mph easily. My ve would have hit it quite fast, hell i hit 130 before i knew it and thats the fastest i went in it.

i can get to 130's pretty easily. then i have to relieve myself of the adrenaline rush that comes when i'm going that fast. considering this is the fastest car i've had i don't want to wreck. i have tried since putting on the ssac and exhaust, but the car pulls much harder now.

i don't think i can fathom 150-60's, geez that's motoring.

i dont know my speedometer is broken but....i was in 5th....@ 7200k down a hill

No doubt about it. Once i toss 5th in that's it. I don't think my exhaust leak is that bad. ohh btw Dre the collector welds broke off and its sliding off the header. I gotta get it put it back in and get it welded all around. Those 2 little welds didn't hold out to long

On a further note. I need my car ready for a tune That's probably whats killing me.

i did 140 with all bolts on and s4 cams but that was on the stock speedo dont know how accurate that is, i wanted to hit my zex 75 shot but didnt have the heart to do it
