overheating help
im having a lil bit of a problem my car started overheating after a couple of drift night sessions so i decided on replacing the radiator with a koyo and it still overheated so then i replaced the water pump cause it wasnt working to good and was pretty rusty still nothing and i checked both of my fans the accessory fan and clutch fan their both working fine and now i dont know what the problem could be any ideas? oh yeah and the thermostat was also replaced, any help would be appreciated thanks.

are you sure that the coolant system was bled enough when you replaced the radiator? i had that issue when i upgraded to a koyo. is there any smells coming from the motor, especially when its overheating? almost like a "sweet" smell?

Drifting = overheating. When the car goes sideways air doesn't get in the front, to the radiator, as easily.

If you're running the clutch fan, is the shroud in place? If not, get one, or go to electric fans.

yes i bleed the system twice there are no sweet smells, any chance the thermostat could be bad even if it is new?

yes i know that but after the "drifting" thats when it started to give me problems, both of the fans are working and i do have a fan shroud i might just have to go to electric fans.

I had the same problem on my KA a while back and replced the radiator, water pump and thermostat and it still overheated. When honest to god it turned out to be my radiator cap the seal on it was gone. When I swapped the factory radiator for a new oem replacement I used the old cap. I got a 1.6 bar replacement from pepboys that looked like it fit and after that no more over heating. I hope it helps.
