project 240
Ok I have owed a 200sx ser for 5 years and I love it. Now I'm looking into a project 240 in the near future. Just doing research right now and would like to pick all your brains. What is the best turbo, cold air intake, clutch etc. Any thoughts would be helpful for me to narrow things down. Thanks for the help. Sorry year I'm looking at is a 92.

I'm thinking it'll have an sr20 but because what I'm looking to pay I might have to rebuild or replace that. so what would be the best engine to start with. I want the car to be reliable but I want to be able to go to the track on weekends. I don't mean drag strip mote of a road course/drifter

If it's your 1st RWD car save your money and drive the car around with the KA in it and get use to RWD before u swap or turbo the KA or SR20. Get some good tires and a LSD 1st then maybe new struts. Save save save your going to need to put money into the car to make it what you want. If u rush it your not going to enjoy it.

isn't the 97 a Roller rocker head? The S13 DET is just like the blue bird SR20DET from memory. Oil squirters, low comp pistons, 8cw crank, T25 turbo, 370cc injectors. The S14 DET has VCT on the intake cam and a BB T28.

Depends on who is bringing in the motor. Example I have a RB20DET that I got back in 03. Motor was in good shape the importer I got it from. I still have that motor tho it's not stock anymore but it's still on the stock bottom end. I also had a SR20VE that gave me nothing but problems and died. Just find a importer close by and go check out the stock, pop the valve cover look over the motor. Have them compression test the motor in front of you.

Would not be my first rwd car. I owned an 85 rx7 for a year before it got hit, would however be my first turboed car.
