Thread: Sputter problem

Having a few issues with the s13. Sputters at half to full throttle as you can hear in the video. Cannot go any more rpms as it cuts out too bad. Seems to be an ignition problem, but not sure. I have moved the coil packs around and even swapped out , but the problem remains. Any ideas? Nothing has changed on the setup. I have gone through all the typical troubleshooting. There are no vacuum leaks, timing is correct, tune is good, and sparkplug gap is correct.

i cant tell much from the video(maybe others can), how does the car idle???

i know its two complety different motors(i have a stock 240) but my car was doing something similar recently it would drive fine at low RPMs and had a hard time passing around 4k, it ended up being a bad injector

Blow thru or draw thru?
I'm having similar issues with my blow thru setup. It ended up being the MAF sensor, swapped it for a spare and it got better.

There's still a dip around there for me but at least it doesn't feel like a rev limiter as it did before.
